The Secret is Out
The latest book by Benjamin Stevenson has hit the bookstores and Ice Cold is delighted to have designed many of the elements in this worldwide blockbuster. It was great fun coming up with a cost-effective design for such a fun book and more proof that publishers such as Penguin Random House Australia are turning to ICP when something needs doing and doing well!

Bigger and Better
It’s that time of year again! This year we have two vessels stuffed full of Christmas goodies, on their way from China to Europe. Still a long way to go but it’s being to look a lot like Christmas already!

When a local periodical recently flagged their need for help with layout and artwork creation, Ice Cold was ready to assist. Over our five-month engagement, the improvement in design quality, content, and layout was notable for everyone to see! How can we help your business improve?

Booktopia Becomes Pulped Fiction
As predicted (see below), Booktopia has come to a sticky end. Thousands of customers and publishers will be left out of pocket because of the mismanagement of this company. ICP’s lack of trust of Booktopia goes back a very long way, so we are one of the lucky publishers who are owed nothing, but we feel the pain of those publishers who have lost thousands of dollars and the individual customers whose trust has been so badly betrayed.

No surprises here as Booktopia fails to get anywhere near its forecast profit. What a surprise! The only good news in the article is found in the picture – one of the top 10 Penguin titles for 2023 was Judy Nunn’s Black Sheep – a book which ICP created the images for!

Deceptively Simple
Simple by design and simple, easy-to-follow recipes to help you – to put it simply – healthier! There was nothing simple about editing and producing digital versions of this 600pp book by Teresa Cutter and her team but the team at ICP makes it look that way. Celebrating a Remarkable 2023
2023 has been an incredible year for Ice Cold, and everyone associated with the company is currently enjoying a well-deserved break. 2024 promises to be even more dynamic, with numerous projects building on the success achieved in the past months. Exciting new ventures are also in the pipeline.

Our sister company maplocal.au is going great guns with its illustrated tea towels and reusable bags selling very strongly. maplocal focuses on macro selling (niche, local products for specific local areas) and the response has been terrific!

Another Nunn
Ice Cold is delighted to have made a small contribution to the latest Judy Nunn blockbuster – Black Sheep – which is currently at the top of the best-selling fiction charts. ICP was commissioned to create the line drawings which accompany the text. That means we have now worked on four of Judy’s blockbuster works.

Apple of our author’s eye
Ice Cold Publishing is delighted to hear that a book for which they recently created a re-flowable iBook version, has reached the heady heights of Number 3 in the “Paid” category on Apple iBooks. Can we do the same for your book?

Time for tea?
Check out www.maplocal.au for a colourful range of local tea towels, bags and postcards. The illustrations won’t mean much to people who aren’t familiar with the area but for those that are, or were, they are a great keepsake.

It’s in the bag!
Great news, as one of our main products for the final half of 2023 has arrived – thanks Fed Ex (although getting the entire delivery and not ¾ would have been preferable!). The Greener Side of Sydney recyclable shopping bags are just part of our Maplocal range which is building up nicely just in time for the festive season.

2023 has already been an incredible year! More books, more products and so many new adventures! All that activity meant that, sadly, we didn’t have the resources to keep our news relevant and our news blog fell flat. But with so much news to bring you on ICP, maplocal, thio and our other brands, it’s time to get things moving once again. So here we go!
